Pros

1) Really wonderful people - kind, hard working, creative talented 2) great mission - real commitment to centering young people 3) strong work-life balance and flexibility

Cons

Overall the organization is navigating some really challenging growing pains and a structure that doesn't quite work. Communication is a really big challenge, departments are quite siloed. There is a lack of transparency rooted in a desire for positivity and optimism, that often paints a false picture of how things are going, and makes it difficult to pivot or address problems. Goals across the team are not realistic or rooted in data, and that creates stressful (and often demotivating) work conditions for all.

Pros

You get to work from home

Cons

The organization is plagued by constant restructuring, a high and growing turnover rate, and a leadership team that fosters a toxic and adversarial culture. Salary discussions are off the table, and terminations often seem influenced by personal bias rather than merit. I would not recommend this as a workplace now or in the near future. Once a reputable organization, it now prioritizes executive compensation over mission-driven work, operating more like a for-profit entity under the guise of a non-profit.
