Great place - Machine Operator Penda Employee Review

-Transparency from upper management -Accessibility to upper management.. how many larger companies have a direct line to the VPs and President? -Open minded to non-English speakers.. currently working on translating many SOPs and switching processes to involve color coding to help with language barriers. -Depending on the position, there is flexibility in schedule and work-from-home privileges. -Plans to continue growing over the next 5-10 years. -Perfect attendance bonus for hourly associates -PTO use is encouraged and respected! I've never had a PTO day not be approved and besides an occasional text here or there, I don't get bothered by my team while I'm on PTO. -All open positions are posted internally and there is a lot of room for growth. I'm shocked to read a lot of things in the "whistleblower" review and I'm wondering if this person and I are working in the same company. I've worked in the office area for 4 years, and have a lot of interaction with production/distribution.. besides the occasional hat/shirt (for BOTH political parties), I've never heard politics being talked about. I've also never heard anyone being "screamed" at. Penda has a lot of associates who have been working there for 30+ years, but also a lot who have entered the workforce in the last 5-10 years. While this has it's generational struggles at times, I think everyone does a good job of listening and hearing others' points of view and balancing the old processes with the new opportunities. Yes, there have been some financial struggles in recent years.. though who hasn't with the pandemic, staffing shortages, supply chain issues, etc. ?? There were not bonuses for many years. Cash is flowing now though and new business has a lot of people very excited.

Production can be very hot and very physical work. However, the company offers a free Physical Therapist to help ensure everyone is working in a way that will not hurt their bodies.

Excellent people committed to doing a good job. Made it through terrible economic conditions because of the people and their dedication.

Not the greatest office facility. Carpet is old and worn out, hard to get temperature right, needs a coat of paint.
