Cons
-Abysmal lack of management and oversight of management. Who hires someone to be an FSM when he can’t even turn a forklift on? Also, FSM is not a work-from-home position. And yet the manager is nowhere to be found 27 out of 30 days. If you have an actual issue, you’re on your own. The FSM is like a rat caught in a trap and will chew his own leg off to avoid having to actually be a manager. Hint: It’s not a great idea to boast to employees how easy your job is. Of course it’s easy. All you have to do is insert numbers into a spreadsheet while your lead tech and other staff do everything else.
-Non-existent morale, any thing resembling morale is quickly beat out of you. Think you’re doing the right thing by your customers? Wrong. Think you’re helping out a fellow tech? Sure, but you will be chastised for making “executive decisions” to help. Bring up a safety concern? Don’t be going around the almighty FSM. Those straps will hold just fine!
