Pros
I like my coworkers. Good people. You can really work on your people skills as you are exposed to may different types of attitudes. Regular customers are great and you can even become friends with some of them. Flexible hours to an extent.
Cons
Want to move up in the company? lol not happening. Expects you to go out of your way for the sake of the company, but wont go out of the way for the employees. No, I will not stay an extra 15 minutes to help a customer or remind customers that they have a package that's about to be sent back if they don't pick it up today. You stopped paying me at closing time and I'm not a babysitter for grown adults. Have any practical suggestions that will help both customers and employees. Forget about it, the higher ups that want to pad their resumes for better jobs have different ideas. Managers and team-leads are the first to ask you for favours but the last to do you a favour. You also wonder why they even come to the stores when they spend most of their time on the phone and writing emails. Probably to look good in front of the camera. Micromanagement. If you worked at a certain location long enough you know the most practical ways to handle that store. All that goes out the window when you get a new higher up/lead that is assigned to your store. They expect you to do things their way no matter how nonsensical it is.
