Pros
It is an growing industry, and very competitive. It can be interesting, but I think that's highly dependent on what team you're on. I can't speak for new hires, but salaries were higher than most other companies in my area a few years ago. People treated each other as equals. There's good people there.
Cons
They've cut back on a lot of things to try and be profitable. This includes cutting the referral bonus to 1/4, eliminating the onboard stipend entirely. We had a team lunch budget, that has been cancelled. No more Christmas party or Summer BBQs. I was denied a software licence renewal of $25 that would make my life easier and improve our documentation for our entire team. There's really no perks left. Morale has plummeted, culture is non-existent. Layoffs twice in 2024, and layoffs twice in 2025 to probably around 400 people (20%) in the Interactive division since 2022. Every bad decision, every bad piece of news, is spun around to be positive, and people internally eat it up and reiterate it. A few years ago I would highly recommend it as a place to work, today though, after the changing of leadership, it's not a place I'd recommend. The people are generally good, it's just too volatile. Their understanding of the sports betting industry, and failure to innovate, take risks, or work on the features that would give them the most impact doesn't instill confidence in me.
