Good learning experience. Open floor plan between labs led to more collaborations and discussions. Quite a bit of a pressure to do well in science. - Graduate Student Penn State Employee Review

Pros

Scientific discussions amongst peers, some mentors are great, good facilities if you end up in a lab with good funding, state college is a nice hip college town

Cons

Some mentors don't care about their students

Pros

They were very flexible with hours and it was a fun place to work. There was lots of downtime to do other things while on the clock, and an e-bike to get around campus quickly.

Cons

Toward the end they got pretty strict about keeping your computer on a certain tab to take online tickets, and you could get in trouble for not doing it. It’s tedious work overall.
