Pros

Good learning opportunity to see rare diagnosis and easily collaborate readily with several specialists. Most specialists are absolutely fantastic to work with

Cons

Working understaffed and with heavy work loads, lots of training new learners often required. Units dont always get along well with each other nor do staff within the same unit unfortunately, seems to be lots of small cliques.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a balanced perspective. We're glad that collaboration with specialists and caring for patients with complex and rare conditions has been a meaningful part of your experience at Penn State Health. We also hear your concerns around staffing, workload and team dynamics, and we understand how much those impact the day-to-day experience. We’re continuing to focus on ways to better support our teams. We appreciate your honesty and the care you bring to our patients each day.

Pros

Mission-focused Some patients and employees are nice Good benefits

Cons

Crowded and Busy. In the cancer institute the lines for check-in went out the door and it seems like everyone forgets their manners in that place. Very little pay for dealing with so many angry patients
