Pros

Great mission that genuinely helps many people. Great coworkers dedicated to empowerment and transforming lives. We are here to do everything possible to uplift untapped talent. Some people can work remotely. The benefits are pretty good. Not all teams are bad.

Cons

Name calling and yelling by managers is the norm. I’ve seen it up the chain of command and in a few teams. There are obvious retaliations and vendettas by managers. Some team members are clearly undermined by managers. Personal insults unrelated to work performance and discriminatory statements (targeting women, LGBTQI, disability). Managers trash talk people in meetings, tell us to “shut up” and other unprofessional behaviors. Upper leadership are aware of this, and they are the same. Managers engage in name-calling, personal insults and screaming in private Zoom meetings, followed by praising the same people in team meetings. When issues are reported to HR, specific instances of abuse, retaliation, harassment is not believed, and witnesses are not contacted. People facing abuse are often terminated or compelled to leave, and there is no accountability for the known abuse. Climate of fear and overwork, with verbal threats of termination often. Extremely unrealistic deadlines mean working 10 to 12 hours every day. Not sometimes, every day. Pay is significantly below industry standard, making the actual pay close to fast food wage. Phenomenally disorganized. Job descriptions do not align with the actual roles. Micromanagement, led by leadership that lacks an understanding of requirements, processes, or tech. Outdated tech and tools below industry standard. People are required to work outside their skills, and short deadlines lead to low-quality work. Already intense schedules do not account for simultaneous multiple projects plus urgent ad hoc requests. Unrealistic recruitment targets mean unprepared learners are set up for failure. Covid outbreaks and covid+ people required to be on site. KPIs are falsified. There is no clear process or procedure, and people who assert themselves tend to get their way. Performance evaluations add unattainable goals after the fact. Avoid. It is not worth it, not even short term.

Pros

Honestly, there aren't any. This place is awful...believe the reviews.

Cons

Long for micromanagement? Prefer a distinct lack of courtesy? Wish that your employer regarded you as nothing more that a name on a page? Enjoy being spoken to and treated like a child? Want to work during holidays? Dislike being provided with the proper equipment to do your job? Good news! You have found your new home.
