Pros
* It was a great group of people. * a lot of time given for learning * Pay was fantastic * In the beginning, full remote
Cons
* I was hired, like several other people, as full remote. Randomly, they decided to mandate some days in the office - problem was, I was 75 miles from the office. They still required me to go in. * I was hired as a Software Engineer, but rarely ever got to do that kind of work. * Communication was frustratingly poor. * I got railroaded into a PIP with no set goals or time limit for poor performance. Despite receiving feedback to the contrary and even receiving rewards for work I did. * I was let go with no HR in the room and I could not record the meeting. * I have not received my final PTO payout yet. It’s required by IL law. * During in an incident where my clearance got paused because Peraton put two different levels in for evaluation (one of which I didn’t need,) I was told to get certifications while I waited. They told me they would approve me, but they did not approve the payment for said certs. Then blamed me for it. * My boss would go weeks without meeting me or checking in on my work.
