Pros

Flexible, OTJ training, possibility of travel (TDY), new increase across all levels in pay as of 6/2022, independent work, merit increases

Cons

This job is not for everyone. You will constantly get your work reviewed and sent back to be fixed, but this is essentially how you will learn the job. This can lead to you feeling like you are just a workhorse. Then since you work alone, it feels like nobody else is in your situation. If you get a good field manager, you’ll feel supported. Get a not so good field manager, and that’s where you’ll find the high turnover. Make friendships with those on your team and find a way to work together to avoid burnout.

Pros

Peraton is a great company to work for. My boss built a huge Datacenter from the ground up. He is very helpful to everyone in our team.

Cons

Onboarding is slow, it takes longer than I expected.
