Pros
Structured and organized for a start up.
Cons
PerformYard is micromanaged. The managers and leaders operate out of fear of Sean. You can tell they are nervous. The CEO seems like a decent guy, but he is pretty removed now and everyone answers to Sean. Thinking is not encouraged, feedback is not asked for, and they pride themselves on spending as little money as possible. This means they will work you as hard as they possibly can. They will count your time off down to the minute, even in medical situations. Don’t expect to go more than 10 minutes without being slacked and needed immediately. This is not your typical remote job. Everyone logs on and off at the same time. To make sure you’re on at the right time they have an unnecessary huddle every single morning. You will have customers in all time zones and you will have to stay online after hours to meet with them. This won’t mean you get to start any later or end any earlier. They hire CSMs who have no experience. Therefore, they don’t realize how abnormal this place is. The work environment is toxic. If you want any balance in your life, don’t work here. You won’t ever have time for lunch or even to let your dog out. There is no winning together and losing together. People are turned against each other and scared to talk to one another. CSMs are constantly working at least 60+ hours a week and they still demand and expect more. Go somewhere else, be appreciated, and make more money.
