Pros

Feels nice to support those in need

Cons

I was attacked by a client and received a concussion diagnosis. When I attempted to report this to management, they chastised me for not finishing out my shift and told me I was being dramatic, and that "accidents happen". They told me not to bother documenting the incident. It was highly unethical and after that I decided I didn't feel safe working here. Also, read up on the history of ABA... If I knew then what I know now, I would never have participated in this "therapy". One of the BCBAs told me to "pinch the kid hard enough to leave a mark because he likes that and can't feel it otherwise".... Just horrific. Horrific. I still have nightmares about my experiences at Perspectives.

Pros

The people who work in the homes are amazing both to residents and their peers. Outstanding training opportunities.

Cons

Office barely communicates with the homes. It is a very insular culture that encourages revolving doors for their DSPs.
