Pros

The guy in charge of the program does a great job. The internship gives you a great intro to the fundamentals of being an assistant--phones, greeting clients, doing coverage, and other administrative stuff. He'll teach out a lot if you ask him questions. He is super busy so sometimes you need to ask if you want special attention.

Cons

They are under staffed and rely on interns, when they really should hire another assistant. Also, they ask you do weekend reading which seems unfair for an unpaid internship.

Pros

This was my favorite of my internships. The team is supportive, kind, and happy to show the ropes and help you land your first job when you finish your internship.

Cons

Unpaid and didn't provide lunch

Pros

This is an amazing place to work. Michael, who is the head of creative development and in charge of the internship program, is a thoughtful, humble, open, intelligent man who is always willing to genuinely teach you more, and have in-depth conversations about script coverage with you. This was my first formal Hollywood introductory internship, and I'm having such a great experience. The office is very small, giving you more opportunities to do more and learn more.

Cons

The coverage can be a lot of work. And the more work you do + the faster you do it, the better scripts you get. So all the interns compete to do coverage faster, at least that's how I felt. I mean, it's not a bad thing. It's just the industry. Fellow interns there are great BTW. From a variety of great film schools and different life backgrounds. I made good friends there.
