Pros

Coming from the corporate world, I was used to a lot of red tape, only black and white processes without deviation and lack of interest in making necessary improvements. With PickFu, it's the opposite- we know that we are powered by amazing people and our collaboration along with understanding the power of improvement, is what continues to make us better and stronger. This is one of the best, most fun teams I've worked with which is what drives me each day. Also, as a working mom, I need flexibility in my life. As everyone knows, life happens and things inevitably come up, but no matter the circumstances, I've always received understanding and support. Communication is very important to me and our company, which we do very well. We also know when a meeting could have been an email and vice versa ;)

Cons

Although I wouldn't necessarily consider it a con, as a small startup, each person has to wear multiple hats as we continue to scale. It can be challenging to be responsible for many things, in a shifting environment, but again, we communicate a lot and encourage every employee to bubble up issues and frustrations so we can help remedy or balance the workload.

Pros

I've worked for organizations and in jobs where I felt the dreaded Sunday scaries coming on. In all my time at PickFu, I've never once felt that. My managers and teammates are supportive, thoughtful, kind and fun. There's a clear spirit of collaboration and learning. It's easy to get behind our mission and put in the work when you're in this type of environment. But at the end of the day, it's also nice to know that our jobs aren't all that define us. And everyone at PickFu knows that.

Cons

Not many cons. Like many companies, we've felt the effects of the economic downturn. With such a small team, and so much on our plates, it sometimes can feel overwhelming.
