Pros

Super talented and fun coworkers in a tight-knit team - everyone is chatty and hilarious at lunch and over ping-pong, but also hard-working and really smart. Everyone pushes one another to do keep up the high standards of work. It's a pretty multicultural team, so we constantly have snacks on our lunch table from different countries, too! The fact that we are building software for a very underteched industry means that our mission and our vision is always really clear. Having a 'true north' is helpful in an entrepreneurial environment where things change fast and we're always hustling. We don't lose track of why we are building this company because our clients really need what we are building!

Cons

In a small start-up, things change fast all the time, and there could be more structure and formality around some communication things. The phase of growing from 10 to 30 or beyond that naturally has some discomfort around uncertainty and fast pace.

Pros

Working at PickTrace was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in my career. Leadership was present, opportunities to learn and grow were always at my fingertips. I got to work with some of the most talented individuals who just happen to also be some of the most kind people I've met. PickTrace's culture and community of people are supportive and engaging. Leadership listens and is quick to act to ensure that everyone in the organization feels valued. The agriculture space is ripe (pun intended) for disruption, and PickTrace is at the forefront of that effort.

Cons

Like other companies of this size in their current stage of growth, there's often a bias for action. Not to say I didn't see improvements in this during my time there, and it wasn't always a negative - but it can be a con when you consider its impact on "designing the right thing".
