Pros
Decent shoes ,
9-5 job
Paid health insurance
Thats about it
This place is a decent place to work if you are a drone. If you have an ounce of knowledge of customer service and or business in the USA, then this place is not for you as you will receive resistance and incompetence from managers,
Any improvements or adjustments needed to make your job efficient is seen as complaining and any suggestions are taken very personal.
Cons
There are too many,
Management micromanages from Spain. This means management likes to monitor phone calls and email to ensure quality, although they have no standards for quality nor even SOP proceedures. Management from headquarters manages from miles away without even knowing how this Miami office runs or operates. Managers don't know common practices for the USA and (like not asking for banking information on an insecure network or reading email from customers reading them and replying accordingly )
After being there only a few months there is a large number of employee turnover which is directly correlated to country managers merging positions making both positions ineffective.
They hire under a customer service position for 13-14 an hour however you learn quickly that this is more of an account manager position which should be paying much more, if you bring this up to management with proof of similar/identical positions available in the market, their response is "if they dont like it they can leave"
Ive seen them give employee contracts and then go back and recall the benefits, one situation an employee was due a bonus after being there 1.5 years. However, they weaseled their way out of paying out the bonus claiming technicality.
Marketing for the entire USA is performed by Spanish professionals, but there seems to be a language barrier and is often inaccurate and or misleading , this is always fun when customers call for discounts when the add said "40% off"
Instead of the usual "UP TO 40% off" when you bring this up to their attention , they respond with " we don't need to change the add"
Management for this small company is very vertical meaning the uppermanagement doesnt care to talk to lower level employees meaning any "improvements" are ineffective any development projects take muh longer then they should.
This is a family owned business and it feels like the family gave their kids the responsibility to handle the entire USA market .
