Great company, small but operates alongside Merrill Gardens, a much larger company, so has resources to draw on there. Good leadership, they run a pretty tight ship in terms of process, etc. Good communication, benefits, activities. Very balanced environment.

Former president (might be near a year since he left) was a challenging personality. He build a great company and I had a lot of respect for his skill, intelligence, etc. However he also communicated harshly, disrespected people a lot, both directly and via not respecting their time, etc. New president is excellent so far and I hope to see him around for a long time.

Outside of maintenance there is no room for growth in operations at this organization. The only promotions I saw were horizontal, or a person getting Sr. added to their title and absorbing another role. Middle management isn’t doesn’t micro-manage, but they are very prickly. There is a group of 5 or so individuals near the top of this organization that fraternize publicly, and it’s hard to not think that it impacts how everyone else is treated.
