Training and inspection software are second to none. Some tools provided. But that's it for pros.
Cons
Low pay. The offer three distinct packages – Plus, Premium & Prestige. You will start at an approximate rate of 27% of the basic package fee (Plus) regardless of what package level services you provide. Average per inspection you can expect approximately $150/inspection. This year I will be earning less than $35,000/yr. Factor in fuel, insurance, vehicle depreciation and getting potentially injured.
Use of your own vehicle. This varies with different franchise locations. I use my own car. I get no mileage reimbursement unless its over an hour away from the office location, not my home location. I do not get access to a company gas card either. I put on over 40,000 miles in one year.
Keep in mind the P2P corporation extracts a minimum of 11% of the franchise revenue which of course trickles down to limiting income for inspectors so you can't solely blame the franchise owner for such a depressing pay scale.
