Pros
I hope everyone gets to work at a place like HappyHour at some point in their lifetime. You are genuinely cared for at this company, and you are encouraged to think differently, speak up, and help solve problems. It is such a unique experience and one that will absolutely allow you to grow as an individual. There is a ton of opportunity for learning at HappyHour, and the support you receive from all members of the team is unbelievable.
To be able to have so much creative freedom in your role is something that is really hard to come by - especially as an intern! But at HappyHour, we do things that are really meaningful and impactful. We are building a product that will help people live happier lives, and if that is not something you want to do, I don't know what is!
Besides the fun environment and excitement that comes with working in tech and travel, the company culture is really strong, and guides every decision that is made. That is why I wanted to join HappyHour in the first place, and why don't want to leave now!
Cons
Meetings take place during the evenings so can be difficult to attend (if you are not based in Vancouver, like myself).
Work is remote and flexible, so I wouldn't recommend this type of work to someone who is not self motivated and able to adapt to dynamic situations.
