Severe Lack of Communication : Leadership and management fail to communicate clearly. Important updates are either last-minute or never shared at all. Teams are often left guessing, leading to confusion and wasted time.
No Career Growth : Promotions and growth opportunities are controlled by favoritism rather than merit. Even if you ask for more work or express interest in development, it rarely leads anywhere.
Uneven Workload Distribution : While some teams are overwhelmed, others (like mine) have little to do. Asking for more work often goes ignored. There’s no real structure to ensure people are engaged and contributing meaningfully.
Favoritism in Promotions : Managers play favorites, and it’s obvious who will get ahead regardless of performance. If you’re not in the inner circle, don’t expect to move up.
Unfair Pay & Raises : Merit increases are a joke. Even high performers don’t get the max increase because those go to the favorites. There’s no way to negotiate for better pay—unless you get an outside offer and threaten to leave.
Disengaging Work Environment : With no clear direction, no real challenges, and no sense of purpose, it’s hard to stay motivated. Many employees just go through the motions.
