Pros

- Good camaraderie amongst the other female employees, no matter how competitive the owner tried to make the work environment - Long hours (good for those who want to make more money) - They always need more employees because of high turnover, so getting hired shouldn't be too difficult - You learn how to basically run a store by yourself - Customers were usually very nice

Cons

The owner Peter is pretty much a jerk. He's known to swear and yell at employees and even his ex-wife/business partner, Ryo in front of everyone. He holds weekly group meetings where sales associates are scored for their performances based off of data he's collected from intense business practices, like installing motion detectors at each entrance to track foot traffic and thus compute conversion rates. It got so bad I'd have anxiety when I walked under any door and would plead for the winder washers not to walk in and out to set off the tracker and offset my rating. It was also incredible how arrogant he was when he was so out of touch with actually selling his clothes and interacting with customers. Most important the clothes are imported cheap and in bulk from Asia and sometimes we'd even have to cut the labels off to replace with those from Pinkyotto, who would then sell them at an absurd markup. Seriously, save your money for better clothes (and possibly better people) elsewhere.

Pros

You meet and work with great people. I learned absolutely everything I needed to learn when it came to sales. This job has molded me in who I am today thanks to one of the great creators of the Pinkyotto Brand. I am very grateful to have given the opportunity to work here.

Cons

I honestly can’t think of any cons besides if you’re not ready to be pushed to be the best you can be I wouldn’t work here. In Pinkyotto you make your money but you have to work hard, just like I believe you should in any job.

Pros

The pros at this company are the people. You work closely with other sales associates and get to develop a bond with them. You also get to work closely with customers, often who come in frequently. Building relations with both is fun and important!

Cons

The cons to working here are the hours, the management and at times the quality. They set sales goals and hold you at a very high expectation. At the time I was hired I was thrown into the job with minimal to no training and never really adjusted to the company culture which can at times be a very toxic environment. Management is aware of this but I saw little efforts to improve it. The company is extremely small so news gets around fast and can be extremely gossipy. You work from 11-8ish every day with no real break. As you work on commission, hitting your sales goals is important but is also very hard at times. There have been multiple times I have lost a sale because of the poor quality of some items. The clothes are also marked up incredibly high. Unfortunately, when I was hired I was told that all items are personally designed by the designer which I later found to not be true and felt like I was lying to customers which made me very uncomfortable.
