Pros

-Coworkers tend to be fantastic people - my absolute favorite thing about this place. -Supportive work culture, management typically understands and is supportive if you are struggling. -Very rewarding helping clients recover. -Although they can have challenging moments, most clients were enjoyable to be around. -Great position if you want to break into the field of addiction treatment. -Can be fun and a great place to make connections / move up in the field.

Cons

The company has recently shifted to a more corporate structure, whereas it used to function more like a family business. _You WILL NOT get breaks. just take that into consideration. -They are needlessly strict on staff rules, which made working there very frustrating. They force the BHTs to be separated in different buildings constantly. Doing this job alone makes it horrible. Collaborating with coworkers is the best part, and when that is impossible, it makes me no longer want to work there. -Very high staff turnover rate (about every 3 months 1-3 people either left or were fired). -Work/life balance can be challenging, especially if you are covering open shifts (and you will need to). -Lots of notes to type up every day -You will also get clients who are mental health only, which can feel unfamiliar if you dont have enough training/experience with mental health.
