Pros

Is it the perfect company? No. I do not want to downplay the negative reviews on this site because everyone has different experiences that should be respected. That said, PitchBook is the best company that I have worked for by far. The company innovates, allows you to work autonomously (at least in Customer Success), and gives you access to speak directly to upper management. The fact that managers and directors listen to your problems and take steps to address them is huge. The fact that the HR department is even responding to negative reviews is a testament of how much this company cares about its employees. I feel like my contributions to the company are noticed and my hard work is rewarded. You are a name and not a number to the CEO, COO, and upper management here (if you want to be). That's not something you see at most companies. Also work-life balance is amazing. You put in your time and you can have a life when you go home. Try working for an I-bank and do that. Not gonna happen. Nobody calling you over the weekend or micromanaging you is a breath of fresh air in financial services.

Cons

Diversity at the firm needs a lot of improvement; as with most tech companies. Employee referrals are great but the employees making those referrals need some diversity in their personal lives as well. Compensation could be better. Corporate culture is superb. Compensation could be better. Loosen up PTO and WFH policies.

Pros

Solid product, talented peers, and meaningful exposure to the private markets. You can build useful skills in account management and other customer-facing roles. Many individual contributors are smart, capable, and supportive of one another.

Cons

The biggest risk here is not the product or the day-to-day work - it is leadership. In some offices and teams, senior leaders create an environment where trust is low, expectations are inconsistent, and favoritism or perception can matter more than performance. Instead of clear direction and constructive support, employees are often left dealing with shifting standards, mixed messages, and a culture where appearances matter too much. Basic respect is not always there, and some leaders rely on intimidation rather than good management. Speaking up, asking questions, or challenging something professionally does not always help and can sometimes work against you. This is especially hard on strong performers. Taking on more usually leads to more pressure, not more support or recognition. Once leadership forms a negative view of someone, it can be difficult to change, even when that person is delivering results. Over time, the environment can feel political, discouraging, and draining. The result is predictable: burnout, disengagement, and avoidable turnover. A number of talented people have left not because they were incapable, but because the leadership culture made the job unsustainable.
