Thank you for the review, and we're sorry you have had a negative outlook with the studio. Since you posted this earlier in the year, we've increased and updated our PTO policy to be more clear and (hopefully) appealing for our current and future staff. We aim to keep a good work/life balance, and keep overtime (or time worked beyond 40 hrs) to a minimum as much as possible. While the partners have taken business classes, we can certainly always stand to learn throughout our careers, thank you for the advice. We're always open to feedback and criticism as we strive to improve both our studio culture as well as business practices.

Pros

It's a tight-knit crew of talented designers that have the power to create extraordinary work. Combined with Pixel Parlor's mission to work with clients seeking to make a positive impact in their communities & beyond, it's truly impressive what their small but mighty team can achieve. It's the perfect environment for creatives looking to learn new skills and grow professionally with real life hands-on experience. Pixel Parlor is committed to not only providing, but encouraging the team to lean into continuing education courses and is dedicated to making sure it's employees have a great work/life balance. Leadership is very transparent with business goals, individual expectations, and makes sure you feel in-the-loop and a part of growing the business.

Cons

Being part of a small team often means wearing many hats & juggling multiple responsibilities. If you're looking to work in a more corporate, larger company setting, PXP may not be for you.
