Pros

This place used to be a much happier organization. Maybe a hard look at upper management could get that happiness back again. Now, there is a sense of unity among those who are trauma bonded.

Cons

It's disheartening to reflect on how Pixelogic has transformed from a decent workplace with promising opportunities into a toxic environment plagued by mismanagement and demoralization. While there was once excitement and encouragement for learning and growth, those days are long gone, replaced by a pervasive sense of disillusionment and despair. Cons: 1. Nepotism and Conflicts of Interest in Hiring and Promotion: The hiring and promotion practices are riddled with nepotism and favoritism, where personal connections outweigh merit and competence. It's disheartening to see talent overlooked in favor of personal allegiances despite conflicts of interest. 2. Self-Serving Upper Management: Upper management is more concerned with self-preservation and personal gain than nurturing and empowering their teams. They deflect blame onto others when things go awry and eagerly take credit for successes they had no hand in achieving. 3. Lack of Recognition and Support: Employees rarely receive acknowledgment for their hard work, let alone words of encouragement. Instead, there's a pervasive atmosphere of criticism and belittlement, with no effort made to boost confidence or morale. 4. Failure to Own Mistakes: Upper management refuses to take accountability for their errors, preferring to sweep them under the rug rather than address and rectify them. This undermines trust and perpetuates a culture of scapegoating. 5. Inconsistent Communication: Communication from upper management is erratic and unreliable, leaving employees feeling uncertain and on edge. Policies and protocols change without warning, creating a sense of instability and frustration. 6. Lack of Support in Emergencies: In times of crisis or emergency, support from management is virtually non-existent. Emails go unanswered, and acknowledgment of urgent issues is delayed, leaving employees feeling abandoned and helpless. 7. Prioritization of Work over Wellbeing: The company shows little regard for the health and wellbeing of its employees, prioritizing work demands over their physical and mental health. This disregard for employee welfare is deeply concerning and unethical. 8. Narrow-Minded Vision: Upper management demonstrates a profound lack of understanding and interest in the needs and capabilities of their teams. Their narrow-minded approach stifles innovation and hampers progress, leaving employees feeling undervalued and overlooked. There is no effort made into understanding the teams or the jobs they do. Overall Impression: Pixelogic has devolved into a toxic workplace where morale is at an all-time low with a debilitating fear of retaliation, and employees feel undervalued and unsupported. The pervasive culture of nepotism, self-interest, and bullying has poisoned what was once a promising environment for growth and development. Unless significant changes are made at the highest levels of management, I would caution anyone considering employment here to proceed with extreme caution.

Pros

- 'Some' teams are supportive (but most teams are toxic) - Mostly competent teammates. - Great place to learn - Some leaders are good (but the majority of them are users and play heavy office politics) - May lead to good career opportunities once you leave as they go to great lengths to meet their clients' demands - Some teams/roles have work-life balance. So make sure to ask what their shift schedules are like before taking a job from a specific team

Cons

- Below industry standard pay - They will overwork you around the clock without any significant rewards, except for some teams - They will take it personally if you refuse to leave your family during the major holidays for unplanned and unannounced work "emergencies" - High school-level office politics even at the director or some executive level. - The leadership will not keep their verbal promise, so make sure to have everything in writing if they ask you to do anything beyond what's required - They will not take care of you when you get burnt out because they overwork you for a long time, and even after you deliver what's required and more - The leadership likes to claim their subordinates' accomplishments as their own and then lay off the people who actually delivered to save themselves from the chopping block
