Pros

PlanSource focuses heavily on their employees, providing them with an engaging work environment. Management and leadership of all levels are easily approachable as well as accessible. Happy employees make productive employees and this rings true at this company. People are quick to laugh and quick to buckle down and get work done so the consumers have the same great experience with PlanSource the employees are having. Lunch with Leadership, Lunch and Learns, movie days, healthy snacks, team outings, community engagement through volunteer events, new technology, and more make PlanSource an excellent workplace.

Cons

As with any small company experiencing explosive growth, PlanSource does encounter growing pains. Whether it is space for new hires, nailing down overall and role specific training plans, or simply adding enough employees to handle rapidly increasing volume, PlanSource does have its faults. However, management and leadership do a solid job of anticipating these nuances and addressing them in a timely manner.

Exciting company culture and fast paced. Management wants their employees to succeed and thrive.

Cons

Some leadership changes towards the end of my work there, but it seems like that has been smoothed out.

Pros

Remote or Hybrid work schedule, if you live outside of the city limits. Unlimited PTO policy, but is PTO ever unlimited.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement, if you’re not connected. Most of middle management and above are not POC. All the strong POC leaders were here today, gone the next day! The staff is overworked and underpaid. Only way to receive a higher salary is to resign and reapply. I survived a few CEOs, and once this last one came in all the tenured staff were being let go. Normal, if a new Executive comes in but there people were 15+ years in. This new PlanSource does not seem as if it cares much for their employees. Most of the workload is being outsourced to India. I’ve seen good, hardworking dedicate people get axed during my time! Not sure they’re invested in retaining good talent! Definitely a swim or sink culture, You will not get much help with learning the Benefits Admin system. It’s sort of a self-guided dive in approach.
