Pros
- Low student: teacher ratio as compared to school based - Shorter working day if the students have CCAs, remedials or long days in school
Cons
- Students are not disciplined, generally don't have manners, noisy and screaming in the classes as well as during basic routines like lining up - Clear cliques within teachers either according to race or seniority, English is always not the common language used. - No support given from higher ups such as manager/supervisor or director. Thrown into the job from the first day and they expect you to get the routines and workflow immediately. - Too much expectations on the worksheets - Salary and the workload does not justify each other. For an organisation that is supposedly 'premium' they can afford to pay the teachers more for the responsibilities given.
