Pros

before it went public: you experience wearing many hats, the non-defined sectors of the company, be part of the magic, see the fruits of your labor

Cons

- lack of structure, new company, immature teams and at times, upper management

Pros

Free (but unhealthy) lunches and snack bar - Bonus every three months - Nice building (but bad A/C)

Cons

The company is shrinking every year. There were hundreds of employees - now there are only dozens. Employees are not communicating with each other. Highly dysfunctional teams. Management is incredible mediocre, unprofessional, egoistic and controlling. Mediocrity is not just desired, but enforced from the top level. I read a few "5 stars" reviews below. As a former employee personally I can't believe those wasn't written by the management. I can't imagine anyone who ever worked there to give 5 star reviews unless they are forced to do that from the top. I met recently with a few ex-workmates and we had a long conversation about how much better is our life now and how horrifying was everything at Playphone. I'm rarely writing bad reviews but as a honest person I feel I need to inform the world about the realities of this company. If you are going to interview with them, ask about their turnover ratio. The truth is that no one stays more than a few months, and there is reason behind it.
