New technology, science, new markets; sometimes acts like small company diversity; culture is open and loose opportunities to influence a start-up into commercialization has transitioned beyond the "not invented here" syndrome
Cons
Many times acts like large Fortune 500 company; unfocused, trying to put too many "lines in the water". fiscal management has been poor. Accountabilityextremely poor too many locations to support for such a small company with small revenue stream. Talented executives have mostly departed. Has had difficulty understanding what potential customers want and need. Was too focused on the science and a "build it and they will come" mentality cultural and management differences in different locations is a divide.
