Awesome place to work! - Mental Health Therapist Plum Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

I really enjoyed working with Christine. She is a passionate and wise clinician, who really cares about her clients and employees. She offers flexibility and wants clinicians to enjoy their job, not just be a place to work. I sat on her consult team as well, and she always had great insight into cases. She is honest and has a strong value system, which means I was always paid for the service I provided.

Cons

This was a contract position, so you have to get credentialed, and that takes time. Pay is based on what insurance will reimburse for services, and don’t get paid until it comes in. This is par for the course as an independent contractor, but the plus side is a flexible schedule and autonomy.

Pros

- Consultation teams help build strong coworker relationships and support - Plum cares about the employee AND the clients, a match not always found in this industry - Flexibility to work the hours you want, with transparency

Cons

- Not able to see my team in person due to distance, but that's the norm more and more these days - Credentialing with insurance is a long process. This is not unique to Plum.

Pros

Plum Behavioral is a fantastic place to work. My coworkers are supportive, wonderful people who make the job really enjoyable to do. Because it is a contract position, I have incredible amounts of flexibility to set my schedule however I want. Management is extremely supportive and responsive to feedback. I highly recommend working here. I feel valued and respected by my employer.

Cons

Only downside is because it is contracted and not salary, you won't get your full income right away, and it takes a bit of time until you are in a groove of getting payments from insurance company But because it is contracted, you get paid for the work you do, and it is very lucrative once you get past the first month or two.
