Cons
Nondeserving people have been hired and promoted all over the company. The layoff rounds were necessary to remove underperforming individuals within the company. Layoffs were required because the management team at the time had a blind eye to wrongful hiring. The previous management took years to take action, hence a lot of people switched jobs before getting laid off or fired. The head of design was promoted to the Chief Design Officer (CDO) position because he did not know how to design buttons, UX flows and Information Architectures; and needed to be fired. Management literally put a red carpet for underperforming people who did not deserve anything more than getting fired. The company and previous management deserve all these Glassdoor reviews from these underperforming folks who are writing in agony upon exiting. No protection for intellectual property development within the company. Higher-ups are into stealing IPs from within and from outside of the company. No proper equity compensation package in the company. At the end of the day, the majority shareholders’ housewives are going to be enjoying the fruits of the hard work put in by people who genuinely contributed to the company.
