Pros

- Access to some high tier projects - Design prestige - Good workplace events - Experienced architects may thrive here

Cons

- There is a large issue with upper management that seems to have little no sign of changing in the near future. highly toxic environment, - Witnessed people cry at there desk from exhaustion at time multiple weeks of overtime - 65 + hours or more. - Little acknowledgement of qualities from people who are not directly working in design teams. - There is an element of bullying that is largely unchecked due to not having a HR aspect to the buisness at all. - TOIL is rarely approved. - Gaslighting certain employees has harmed the progress of some staff in there career (freinds who have left since have realised this). - Pay disparity between similiarly experienced staff is an issue. there is large resentment due to this. - Salary reviews are largely a negative experience. Forms part of the gaslighting scenario. Unfortunately this leaves most people questioning there ability unnecessarily.

Pros

With more than four years at PLUS, my experience at the firm has been excellent. It is a large company with a multicultural and highly talented team, which gives great credibility and confidence that every project will achieve an excellent outcome. The supportive team and leadership encourage you to bring out your best, helping you quickly develop the skills needed to grow your career. PLUS allows employees to manage their own time at work, trusting each person to take responsibility for delivering results and meeting deadlines, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. PLUS is a safe and positive workplace where the office culture is shaped by the people who work there, creating a friendly environment with plenty of opportunities. The directors are always supportive and provide guidance on how to grow in the field, while also paying attention to every detail that helps you perform at your best.

Cons

The firm is currently located in Northbridge. Relocating to the CBD could improve its positioning and visibility while still maintaining a central, convenient location for employees.

Pros

Supportive and experienced Directors that lead from the front lines, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. They balance business demands with empathy and genuinely care about their staff. The Perth Studio has come a long way in 8 short years and is a testament to the leaderships commitment to doing good work and investing in staff. Career opportunities and diversity of projects. If you are willing to work hard you can go far.

Cons

As with any fast growing company there is a period of adjustment and adaptation that can require resilience from staff but the reward is worth it. The nature of the industry can require long hours but they are not an expectation placed on people as others have stated.
