Pros

-Great compensation for working in the fitness industry with full medical benefits and 401k safety net. -A lot of opportunities to learn and develop through continuing education. -Smaller, more intimate team makes for comfortable work environment. -Work, life balance. Weekends and holidays off.

Cons

-Limited scope in managerial role with general manager having to shoulder the load of most administrative tasks. -Assistant general manager role gets boring with a small team, essentially feels like a glorified exercise specialist at times.

Poor merit increases, no increases to match inflation, lack of improvements or advancements, management lacks vision to progress in meeting client needs
