Pluto is a market leader in a fast paced industry. In general the systems are of high quality. The leadership fosters a culture of kindness and caring. Great overall benefits like unlimited PTO and many perks.
Cons
Pluto TV, while a relatively young organization, being founded in 2014, and acquired by Paramount in 2019, it's organized like a very old, traditional company. The departments are strongly siloed. At the team level it felt like engineering, product, software test engineering, and the project management office, were all pulling in different directions as far as how to operate. These silos and other factors resulted in an organization that is quite slow moving by tech standards. It was difficult to launch new services, taking months of approvals and waiting on assistance. Leadership doesn't seem to understand the meaning of empowered, cross-functional teams that operate independently from the hierarchical structures.
