Pros

Nurses truly have a voice in the company. Until I worked at PocketRN, I got used to the culture of traditional healthcare systems, where nurses have little to no influence on decisions that are made at the organization. PocketRN takes nurse feedback very seriously and makes meaningful and effective changes based on the feedback. It's also so refreshing to work somewhere that has such a solid and healthy company culture. People really care about patients and making a difference in their lives. Working from home as a nurse is amazing! I have better work-life balance at PocketRN than I've ever had in traditional nursing roles. I also love that virtual nursing at PocketRN doesn't just mean providing triage support like other remote roles. PocketRN is innovating in nurse-led care delivery and it's exciting to be a part of this important change!

Cons

It is a fast-paced company, and the team is working hard to solve many complex problems. The initial adjustment to working from home was a bit of a challenge, but once I developed relationships with co-workers at PocketRN, I feel just as close with them as I have with former co-workers from in-person jobs!

As an early-stage startup, there is a lot of work to be done! But it always rewarding and done alongside great people.
