Pros

- As with all companies the good things come from those who work there already. There are many great people who work here and they will help and support you as much as possible - I also really appreciate the goal of making medical data more accessible to the public. It is a product that has value.

Cons

- The Founders are acidic. They actively choose to not make product decisions which causes delays in shipping. They get frustrated with lack of progress so they lay off all of the product staff and say AI will do product now. Shipping still isn't happening because that wasn't the problem so they start enforcing AI usage quotas. That still doesn't work so they start RTO. All of this to try an fix issues that they could easily if they would stop figuring out ways to micromanage and instead focus on actually leading, making actual product decisions, and having a clear roadmap. - They are so disengaged that rather than understand what teams are working on, they would rather evaluate performance based on AI usage than actual output. They are monitoring each employees usage and if it is not high enough for them, they send managers to tell them to do more. - They are vindictive to anyone who is critical of any decisions made, will make public slack posts and will yell at people at their desks. - They make presentations stating that you need to be working overtime and how they think you should be working rather than any clear roadmaps. - They vastly over estimate their technical and social skills giving them the idea that any feedback they receive is just false. I made the mistake of knowing some of this but expecting that if I keep my head down and do good work that I would remain unscathed.

Pros

The people here are genuinely great — collaborative, smart, and passionate about what they do. The work itself is meaningful and you'll grow a lot, both professionally and personally. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy environment, this place will feel like home.

Cons

Not a fit for everyone — the pace is relentless and feedback is frequent, so thin skin won't serve you well here. The company also shifted from remote to hybrid, and even that's inconsistent across teams. Add in the uncertainty that comes with a company in growth mode, and you'll need to be comfortable with change.

Pros

The culture at PocketHealth is one of the best parts of working here. Everyone is genuinely kind, helpful, and easy to work with, and there’s a strong sense of collaboration across teams. I’ve always felt comfortable asking questions and know I’ll get support, whether it’s from teammates, management, or HR. The flexibility is also a huge plus. The role is fully remote, but there’s still the option to go into the office if you want to. There are little things like occasional office lunches, generous PTO (20 days), and unlimited wellness days that make a big difference in day-to-day work life. Work-life balance is really respected. There’s no pressure to start early or stay late, and while overtime is available, it’s completely optional. There’s also a strong sense of diversity and inclusion. It’s a very diverse team, and it’s encouraging to see so many women in leadership and key roles.

Cons

As with many growing companies, teams often juggle multiple priorities, and workloads can feel busy at times. There is also currently no retirement plan offered, which may be a consideration for some.
