Pros

Pushes you out of your comfort zone and develops you as a person

Cons

The company is poorly run, with it being so small there is no HR department or procedures in place, everything goes through the owner who is your direct boss and not overly friendly. From your very first day there is no support, no help, my laptop hadn't even been set up when I arrived. As for training you can keep dreaming, I'm unsure if this company knows the definition of training. The owner of the company has no care for how things are done as long as they get done which leave you in the firing line from clients when things go wrong. You will also be in her firing line too even if she has instructed you to do it a certain way. Key thing i learnt was, you're always wrong no matter what the circumstance. Once you're in you feel stuck, if you contemplate or try to leave you are backed into a corner and made to feel guilty for thinking such things. This place makes you feel very vulnerable. If you end up on the owners wrong side you will be bullied/forced out of the company in the most unprofessional way possible with the addition of fowl language. If you are pushed out you can forget receiving the pay you are owed. My advice, if you want to work in hell and dread turning up to work every morning this is the place to work.

Pros

Saddened to see the feedback regarding working at Podengo from the previous person and thought I should give my very positive experience of working with them. I joined in 2013-3014 and left to return to become a researcher again. Gemma and the team were incredibly accommodating, especially as I was a returning to work mum. Flexible approach, flexible hours and always available to help me with my projects. The work was varied, hard but super rewarding. It was great to receive thank you cakes from clients, and flowers from Gemma as reward for the hard work, especially on tricky projects. I whole heartedly recommend asking Podengo for a job.

Cons

Very few. Majority of projects are completed with no issues, but every so often, a slightly harder one comes along. However, this is when the team gets together and we pull it out the bag to get it done - these are the best ones. As I said can be hard, but super rewarding.

Pros

Absolutely loved my team and Management team. Gemma is more than accommodating and the holiday entitlement is super generous. Working with so many varied and high profile brands gives you real passion for your project/ clients and makes all the difference to busy working days. Both Gemma and the team set clear objectives and made time to support me whilst I was adjusting to the new role. Beyond this, assistance was given in busy periods in a pleasant and collaborative way. Projects come thick and fast, with attention to detail and delivery to deadlines high on the list of priorities. No different to any other role I’ve had in my adult working life! I was always given more than adequate support and guidance. Both requested by me and offered when necessary. Great atmosphere, competitive salary, fun projects, lovely office, fantastic team, CUTE DOGS!!

Cons

Busy working environment and fast pace. Perhaps NOT the ideal role if you lack initiative or aren’t a self- starter!! (‘Anon’ liar, take note!)
