Pros
Incredibly solid, proven product with a compelling value proposition and a demonstrable ROI to the customer. The entire team is collaborative and everyone really hustles and works well with each other. There are incredibly bright people from the leadership team down who make work fun, challenging, and intellectually stimulating. I’ve been pushed to do some of my most interesting career work in this company, from both a technical perspective and in terms of ingenuity and creativity. The leaders of the company are approachable, down-to-earth, and always supportive of new ideas. Office culture is terrific. There always seems to be a full fridge. Conference rooms and desk setups are contemporary, and there are socialization opportunities outside of work also.
Cons
Growth ventures are not environments for people who don’t know how to get things done. The founders built the company with their own four hands, so if you struggle to produce results then it will be a difficult tenure. The company has a great vision and lofty goals in the market. So, like any early stage company, you’ll need to work hard to achieve your objectives.
