Pros

1. WFH flexibility is great 2. Pay is decent 3. Your therapist will be happy with how often you’ll have to meet with them due to PTSD from this hell hole

Cons

1. In my opinion, the CEO is a total egomaniac. His feedback is flat out disrespectful, unprofessional and it’s a terrible experience working with him overall. As opposed to taking leadership classes, and perhaps yoga to release endorphins to help boost his serotonin levels, he massively micromanages you to no end. It’s just one of the many reasons why retention is so horrible. You either quit or are fired for not putting up with the nonsense. 2. The company only cares about diversity on a surface level. They want to appear inclusive, but it’s all for show. The POC employees have been put through the ringer. It’s not just about hiring diverse candidates, you must provide a safe environment where they can thrive. 3. Product is underwhelming. Meh. 4. HR is quite unhelpful.

Pros

The people. The product. The atmosphere. I have worked for companies large and small in the past 15 years. Over time, I definitely came to the conclusion that talent and smart people will always be there but what is not always present at every team and company, is genuinely good people. Polywork has that. Excellent work-life balance that works on both ends. I have experienced complete burnout at a different company and let me tell you- burned-out employees churn and don't deliver consistently because they simply can't. Polywork has an exciting product, and an amazing team of smart, creative professionals who truly care for one another in a genuine way.

Cons

It's a startup so while not really a con for me, be prepared for fast-moving ideas.

Pros

Friendly & knowledgeable colleagues, empathetic & encouraging engineering leads & managers, interesting work, cutting edge tech stack,

Cons

At will employment means they can just let you go from one day to the next, and sometimes do exactly that. Also it's a startup so expect messy, chaotic pivots
