Pros
- Good projects - Learning opportunities
Cons
- Low salary compare to the market - Questionable work-life balance (you still have to check and reply to Slack messages after work even when it's not an emergency). Or else you might get pinged on WhatsApp - Forget about promotion, you'll work with the same title for years - Doesn't use all the industry-standard tools, making it harder to switch jobs, and you'll end up with tools that no one cares. For example, use Favro (project management tools) instead of industry-standard Jira. - Not purely data driver decisions but based on what the Founder think - Yearly increment is not guaranteed, policy can change without notice. - Founders micromanage everything - No structure of salary, It's based on what you can negotiate. In the same position, different people can have different salaries. It sucks to know you are doing the same work but getting paid less. - They don't share product revenue or other rev related info, so you don't know whether the product is doing great or not. Feels like a lack of trust.
