Pros

Friendly coworkers, Gain experience and good for resume

Cons

Very little training (1 day) but expected to know it all immediately, get in trouble for working too many hours, offered growth possibilities but restricted hours, issues getting paid, not allowed to close deals yourself.

Pros

They don't micromanage you but give you all the tools you need to succeed. With the proper support and communication they put you on the right track to watch your career take off.

Cons

I don't really have any. I have all the equipment and materials I need to operate on my own!

Pros

The Virtual Background System is absolutely the most incredible system to be introduced to the retail photography world. It is a great selling point and There's nothing else like it! The President and the Vice President of the company were always available for consultation on any subject. The customers were awesome, and many became regulars and returned several times throughout the year. Pay was good.

Cons

High Expectations for a New Business- To much for one person to market, and run alone. Little Effort from the Franchise Owner to help make the studio a success. More of an Owner than an Operator. Financial limitations on Marketing made it difficult to properly keep New Guests coming through the door. Training on the virtual background system was limited and didn't feel prepared to use it when the Studio opened. None of the Executives of the company were familiar with the operations of a RETAIL portrait studio which made it challenging to set an obtainable budget goal. Hard to directly communicate with Store Management, it was a busy store so it was difficult to schedule meeting times- Which was very understandable!! Location of the studio was great in the beginning. Until the self checkouts were installed directly in front, it became less noticeable, as not as much traffic came through. No paid holidays or sick time, Worked EVERY Weekend because it was single staffed. No time and a half on Sundays
