Pros

You'll enjoy your coworkers for the short time you know them. Apprenticeship program will teach you valuable skills end with a Google AdWords Certification, and compensate you. Learn these skills, then get a job somewhere else.

Cons

Owner is a complete narcissist who cares more about his personal image than the people that are working everyday to push the company forward. There was a time that everyone in the company was told they HAD to use Glassdoor to write a positive review for the company because some negative ones were showing up, not sure many people could even stomach to lie so blatantly. Work is demanding with little to no direction from management, unrealistic goals and lots of coming in early and staying late without pay or a thank you. As you watch those you considered to be valuable employees and resources around you get fired for no good reason at all you'll wonder when its your time, I promise, its soon. You'll never have more anxiety than working a couple months with this company. Management does not trust you and will scrutinize every moment, you'll be monitored on camera, your internet history will be viewed and you'll have a micro-manager over your shoulder at all times. You'll even be watched as you enter every morning to make sure you are in the door and at your desk and not even 30 seconds late without offense. It wouldn't be so bad if how they advertised themselves as a company and culture wasn't the complete opposite of how things actually are there.

Unfortunately advertising is a field that demands hard work, and even though we do embrace a fun and rewarding environment, it can’t solely be all fun and games all day long. We do support our team having fun, and we love that POTRATZ is a place where people can build lasting friendships, but the simple truth is, no company is going to pay people not to work, life just doesn’t work like that. Our agency is one that puts our clients first and foremost, and they expect to be given the work they pay for. We can’t charge them money and then not deliver what is promised, and yes sometimes that means that you may have to work past the regular 9-5; ask anyone in advertising, it’s the nature of the business. We are a company of over 40 individuals and given that we only have 15 reviews, it doesn’t seem very likely that we “forced” everyone who worked here to write a positive review. Full disclosure? Of course we appreciate good reviews...what company wouldn’t? But we do not force anyone to write anything; it’s your own personal right to decide to write a review, positive or negative. In response to your comment about the cameras, we are located in a 28,000 square foot building and installed security cameras in the hallways and entranceways as an effort to maintain a safe and secure environment for all of our team members. Thank you for your feedback, and good luck in all of your future endeavors.
