Pros
- Absolutely great team (when I worked) - Easy-going personal relationship with the management - Challenges and innovation - Great company potential with lots of innovative ideas - Flexible hours - Horizontal management - Progressive management views, untypical for Portugal
Cons
- Awful workplace conditions. - Micromanagement. The manager (CEO) seems the only to have a valid opinion controlling everyday the smallest steps even of senior engineers. - The CEO is a dreamer. "The company is moving to the new office next month". "The company is producing a new product every month". "In a few months, the company gives you the type of task you wanted, as promised on the interview". Promises, promises, while the reality stays the same. - Unnecessary pressure. The manager establishes unjustifiably tight deadlines which are rarely met leading almost every time to deadline extension. - Uncertainty. The manager may change his opinion to an opposite overnight. Then, during the next day change it again. Several times a day. This applies to every aspect of the company. - Busy manager. An engineer may be blamed for a bad design decision made two months ago which has been approved by the manager himself who does not remember anything of this, so documenting is the key. - No exposure to the industry the engineers are designing products for. - Average salary. A raise is hardly negotiable.
