Pros

Not much. The residents in the facilities and fellow staff are great. Decent amount of vacation/PTO/sick time.

Cons

Upper management care only about the $. Health insurance is ridiculously expensive. We've been on a "Raise Freeze since I started. No 401k match and no Holiday pay.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We're appreciative to hear your feedback as a tenured Powerback team member and want to thank you for your continued commitment to improving the lives you touch. It's phenomenal to see that you enjoy your team, as teamwork and inclusion are two important pillars within our Powerback culture. Additionally, we appreciate your comments on our PTO policies as a clinician. We're incredibly sorry to hear that you feel our health insurance policies are inadequate for your needs and that you've experienced a raise freeze. I'd highly encourage you to attend one of Carl's CEO open office hour meetings, held each Monday morning/afternoon, to discuss these concerns. These discussions allow everyone the chance to directly share their honest thoughts to contribute to our culture of transparency. If you're interested in participating in these discussions, you'll find an invitation on your Powerback gmail calendar. We want you to feel supported in your role here at Powerback, and we hope you'll find this unique resource valuable. Regarding 401k Matching– as of December 2023, we've updated our benefit policy to address 401k matching. After evaluating our benefits and compensation packages, we've found that now is the perfect time for us to adjust our policies regarding 401k matching to ensure we're providing the best support possible for Powerback staff. For more details on this update, please feel free to contact our dedicated HR solutions center via the HR page on the Rehab Central intranet. Regarding Holiday Pay- As a healthcare provider, rehab care is available 365 days a year. In 2016, we expanded our clinician Personal Hours to provide more flexibility around observed holidays and personal needs. Today, full-time Therapists and Assistants accrue up to 64 paid personal hours per year, based on hours worked. This change allows our team members the flexibility to choose days of observance based on their individual beliefs/interests rather than requiring a set list of holidays that everyone must recognize to receive PTO. Beginning in 2023, full-time and part-time, non-exempt gym/center-based staff (this includes Powerback Rehabilitation To You staff) will be compensated for any hours worked on Thanksgiving Day. We're committed to creating a work environment that allows every Powerback team member to thrive at all levels of care, and we hope that these shared resources and responses help clarify the rationale behind our policies. However, we know that a simple review response may not answer all of your questions or address all of your concerns. Again, I would love to encourage you to share any additional thoughts, ideas, and feedback with Carl during one of his weekly CEO open office hour meetings. Many of the best ideas to improve Powerback come directly from staff like you, and we'd love to hear your thoughts from your unique POV. Again, thank you for your review. We sincerely hope you have a great day! --Aimee, Marketing Specialist

Pros

Fifteen years ago, I joined this Rehabilitation company looking for more than just a job-I was looking for a place where I could make a meaningful difference. What I found was an organization whose mission aligned with my own values; helping people regain confidence, independence, dignity, and hope, during some of the most challenging times in their lives. From my very first day, I realized this was more than a workplace. It was a community of compassionate professionals united by a common purpose-supporting and guiding patients to achieve goals that they may have thought were out of reach. Whether it is assisting someone in taking their first steps after surgery, helping a patient return home safely and independently after an illness, or simply regain a lost skill, these moments continually remind me why our work matters so much and reinforces my commitment to this profession and especially to this organization which continually encourages me and empowers me to challenge myself and expand my capabilities. What has kept me here for the past 15 years, is not just the opportunity to build this career, but the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. Powerback Rehab has fostered a culture of compassion, innovation, and continuous improvement. This company recognizes that when employees grow, patients benefit, and therefore communities become stronger. My decision to continue growing with Powerback Rehab is rooted in a simple belief. When you find a place that allows you to make a difference, supports your development, and shares your values, it becomes more than a workplace, it becomes a source of inspiration.
