Pros

Wear PJs to work. Do not need to be smart or have skills to work here.

Cons

I have never seen a more micromanaged place than this in 20 years. 1-They have coffee but do not want you to get up and get some. Confusing. Be careful about going to the lavatory. That may be taken away soon too. 2-You have put a paper sign up when on break or lunch like a child. 3-You have to punch in on the exact minute or you get in trouble. 4-They watch everything you do and you get questioned if you take too long on an account. They say they want good quality but then applaud people who don't work hard to get their numbers high. 5-Hourly and salary are not competitive by industry standards. 6-There are NO SICK DAYS in a healthcare company. They don't care if you, your child or spouse is sick. You better have PTO or get written up. 7-You loose PTO if the weather is bad. 8-You have to respond that you understand emails. It is demeaning. 9-People will laugh how little the 401k here is. 10-There is favoritism and it is obvious. Men are really treated well. Colored people are overworked on both teams. 11-They humiliate you in emails by copying everyone. 12-There is no incentive to do a good job so no one cares. 13-You don't need writing skills because upper management writes everything. It creates a very lazy bunch who are not bright and do not try. 14-Cannot use phone. Is this school? How do you know if something is important. I don't want to get up to check if it is or not. 15-We pay for everything including charity events. Then they want a photo to show they did charity. Pass. Never seen a company do that! I will go on my own time then. 16-You have to timeout to help volunteer or take the photo to promote the charity. Again. What? We were also told to oay for activities on our own so no one participates. 17-People are always quitting and looking for other jobs. Very few are happy and nothing is done about it. 18-We were made to send review for best place to work. I feel that is not fair. 19-There are no bonuses not even holidays. 20-Company did potlucks instead of spending money to provide lunch. 21-We print in grey and send broken cds to save money. Again. How cheap! 22-Training is a joke. We are not taught on client we get. I was taught other teams's system. How is that helpful? 23-We are encouraged to speak up but nothing is done about it. 24-Management snaps at us all the time. People are always upset and crying. 25-Our equipment is old and slow. Spend money on laptops that are up to date. 26-We hire people for positions not needed because they are friends of higher ups instead of paying people competitively who work hard. 27-No overtime. You want good work at reasonable timeframes? You have to pay for it. 28-Never enough employees. People are always doubling on clients. Basically, you are punished for doing a good job. 29- I can keep going and going. My health and financial stress have kept me stuck. I hope things change as things are demoralizing now.

Praxis Healthcare Solutions Response
6y
I am truly sorry to see how unhappy you are here and it sounds like this may not be the best fit for you. With that being said, I would like to make the public response and corrections to what you have shared. 1) I am not sure how you personally define "micromanaged"? If being expected to arrive on time to work, work the appropriate number of hours, and meeting daily goals are considered micromanaging, it sounds as if you would be better suited for something that has no formal job descriptions nor employer policies. Possibly something where you can work for your self? 2) Our team members are not restricted to going to the breakroom for coffee, sodas nor going to the restroom. Now, should your goal be to spending 10-15 minutes consistently there a "restriction", then yes, I guess we do except that those periods of time being taken on a formal break, of which employees do have 2 per day. 3). "The sign". This was implemented in order to respect and easily determine when someone is clocked out for lunch versus working so others would not disturb you. I would call that a proactive form of communicating. 4). Punching in and out, within the standard times is not an unrealistic. And your statement of that being within one minute is untrue. 5). Your comment regarding watching all you do, wanting quality then "applauding" others makes no sense. Yes, in order to meet our commitments to our clients, there is a reasonable expectation of a certain number of calls and accounts to be worked daily/over the week. If an individual or a company does not work to a goal, no success can be achieved. 6). Salary is well within market standards. We do regular research as well do increases for those meeting their goals. 7) Completely untrue on time off. We have a PTO bank of hours which can be utilized for sick time, vacation time, etc. We never want anyone in the office sick, and have regularly sent staff home who show up to work ill. 8). Particular communications are asked at time to confirm receipt and understanding. Why? To help support our team members from going down the wrong path or having confusion. In fact, many of your peers have found this helpful and asked for this tool. 9) 401k. - In todays world where many companies provides no match whatsoever, I think offering a match of 25% on the dollar up to 8% is very generous. I myself appreciate getting "free" money. 10) I personally am beyond offended at your suggestion of any favoritism or bias on race. THIS IS A FALSE statement and it is clear you speak on your own and without consensus of your peers. 11) Feel free to share an example of what emails you are feeling "humiliated" from? No email is ever intended to do so. Is there something that you feel you should have done but didn't, thus causing you to personally feel "humiliated"? 12) We have consistently offered incentives since the company started. Sadly, there does not seem to be one single thing that motivates everyone. As we recently shared, we will be rolling out our newest incentive plan April 1st. 13) Again, not sure of your comment on the writing skills. I will agree if incorrect grammar or spelling is used, then yes, a member of management will correct that before releasing. This goes back to an earlier point of performing quality work. 14) Correct - NO CELL PHONE USE while at your desk working. Please refresh yourself on the rules surrounding PHI 15) We have contributed large funds of money to charities over the years. From the company - not employees. We are passionate in giving back to the community, as our many of our staff members, The company over the course of year donates about $50,000. Causes are chosen by team members serving on the volunteer committee. By no means if this is not important to you, you do not need to participate above what the company donates. 16) Based on our recent assessment, less than 2 months ago, our turnover rate is far below the local and national averages 17) We are honored to be voted "Best Places to Work" two years in a row. This is voted by staff, not by Management 18) We have 7 paid holiday per year as well as one floating holiday chosen by staff 19) Not having a very long history here, potlucks were derived from staff as their idea and are now discontinued 20) No understanding of your printing comment (not true plus unsure of the relevancy) 22). Training is targeted and performed by our Sr. Attorney and Compliance Director. Also, at staff request, additional training is happily provided 23). Have you spoken up and provided thoughtful ideas or suggestions? I would welcome seeing them as I know we have enacted many staff suggestion even over the last month. 24) 99% of equipment is new. Have you had an issue? Did you report it to IT Help Desk? Are you a remote employee with below required internet speed? 25) Have never hired people "not needed". We have been and will continue our recruiting efforts. I can easily hire 10-16 people today based on our growth. Nor have I, nor our CEO hired any "friends". 26). OT has been occurring over the last 5 weeks. This is offered at company need, employee interest and approved if the employee is currently reaching their daily goals. In summary, it does appear you are very unhappy here and state your health is suffering. That is not a good situation and would encourage you either coming to speak to me personally, with your concerns, so we can work together to better your situation or you make the decision to leave and look for another position. Being unhappy is not good for you or the company
