Great onboarding experience and new hire training. Trainers were so informative and very open with answering any and all questions. Great communication from Benefits manager.
Cons
Consistently promised a full time position many a time yet never any follow through. Excuse after excuse was given during the whole entire time I was employed by them. Constantly blaming this manager that manager that supposedly made the decision not to or "not yet." Did not appreciate the constant empty promises yet 95% of the time I was given full time hours without the actual full time position. This was evidence that they really liked me and my work to have been given all these hours. I was never given a real opportunity to shadow personal bankers that were on the platform full time let alone get hands on training there either. Again, it was blamed on being short staffed which was most of the time. While those who were previously/currently in my position were consistently given plenty of platform time. The Assistant Manager would rather I be behind the teller line, discouraging me from being an actual personal banker. I've had many years experience in the banking industry but I was being totally ignored, underestimated and never given a real chance to showcase my full potential. The whole time I was with PACU, not one team member was ever promoted. That in itself said a lot about management as a whole. They do not care about allowing their team members to grow within the branch. Those who did want to move up did so by applying to those positions on their own at other locations within the company. Preferential treatment for the vault teller regarding days off and working on Saturdays. Assistant Manager never gave me any guidance during my time there either. I learned so much from another Assistant Manager covering her in one week than I ever did with our own Assistant Manager. Again, holding me back from learning and growing within my position.
