Pros

Nice office space, the ice is decent when the machine works, indoor plumbing when the bathrooms are in working order. The best part about this job was leaving

Cons

Literally everything else. Micromanaging “leaders”, titles were switched in order to pay employees less after being acquired by a larger company (Premise Health), horrible communications between corporate/leadership/down to individual PM teams, favorites, inconsistent protocols, no HR representation, retaliation tactics when complaints are lodged, internal gossip between employees in management positions, pay is dismal at best, raises are begged for and never adequate for the workload, no incentives, no recognition for a job well done, hourly employees are worked off the clock but not compensated, dead weight employees stay for years while proactive workers fall stagnant, high volume of paper used for an “e-company”, 2 separate sexual harassment claims were lodged against the same female employee and nothing was done, new employee was told in front of entire office “we don’t really celebrate birthdays, but at least you have a job!”, extremely impersonal work environment, the VP works remotely and openly admits she doesn’t know what the PM team does, we received a candy cane for Christmas two years in a row - I am not joking.

Pros

Great people to work with and that makes all the difference. Great company to work for. They value work-life balance. Salary increases yearly. Earn more PTO the longer you are here.

Cons

Procedures aren't very clear on some things and change often.

Pros

Great company to work for with strong leadership support and a team culture that genuinely cares about employee wellbeing and growth. Premise invests in continuing education, development opportunities, and provides great resources for both professional and personal health. I’ve especially appreciated the focus on whole-person wellness through programs like Sonic Boom, which makes healthy habits fun, engaging, and community-driven. Leadership is approachable, supportive, and encourages innovation and collaboration across teams.

Cons

As a large healthcare organization, some systems and processes can feel a bit outdated, especially with how quickly technology and the fitness industry evolve. That said, because Premise is a healthcare company, everything has to go through extensive vetting for compliance and safety, which is understandable. There are also a lot of policies and standardized procedures that don’t always perfectly translate to the fitness side of operations since many are built more around healthcare models. The environment can be stricter at times, but leadership is generally open-minded, willing to listen to feedback, and continues to evolve as the fitness and wellness division grows.
