Pros

1... Young people around 2... Get to meet lots of interesting clients 3... One or two nice guys.. one owner is nice, the old ceo-like guy was nice, some people are really mean though

Cons

1... Salaries are terrible 2... Bad at retaining people... By far the best guy they had was minat, genius man and very nice but they worked him way too hard and eventually he left after trying to keep standards high for a few years. The best trainers they have leave after 1 or max 2 years 3... Weekends are tough so hard to have social life 4... Lots of commuting because they have 2 offices 5... No systems to run things smoothly... Everything keeps breaking down. And the more clients they have the worse their service. Minat and Vivek were setting up amazing systems but they both left 6... Office is not clean 7... You won't get promoted easily and if you do, it'll be a promotion in name only

Thanks for the feedback. According to your post - you were with us for 3-4 years. That's a long time to have kept some of these thoughts to yourself. My honest advice is to always talk to your Manager / Director in charge whenever something does not sit right. Call me old fashioned, but it makes no sense to bring things up in a post after you have left - rather it would have been far more beneficial to you (and the company) if you came and spoke to me while you were here. So to anyone reading this who is currently working (or associated with Prep Zone here in Singapore) - anything at all bothering you - please come talk to me. Thanks Nagitha (Director, Prep Zone Academy)

Pros

*Internationally mobile career in great cities. Prep Zone is in Dubai, Singapore and even Shanghai now. *Work with really smart people (it's test prep - these guys all have 2300 SAT and 760 GMATs) *After a year of intensive teaching, which can get redundant, there are a lot of content or sales/marketing stuff you can get involved with. *Many times you will have a lot of responsibility very early - great for your resume but a lot of work *Potential for decent pay after first 6 months or year

Cons

Company is growing so fast that roles aren't well defined and things can get sloppy Certain people involved in sales have too much power in the organization Teaching test-prep can get boring but if you're doing grad level stuff and interacting with GMAT or GRE students this is less of a problem. Starting pay can be a bit low but you tend to make more after 3 or 6 months

Pros

(What pros?) I don't think there were many.

Cons

Not a very good place to work at all. Would not recommend.
