Pros

- It's a fairly stable mega

Cons

- Changed insurance for employees, telling them nothing changed. Except for the fact that GLP-1s now cost 600% more than they did last year. As a company who employs many many obese drivers, this decision raises an eyebrow. - Dispatchers who have never driven a truck. They expect you to make the same time as the crow flies and don't understand the issues that drivers encounter - Favorites. Your loads all depend on if your dispatcher likes you. The best loads go to the same people every day. - Loads are slowing down. They won't admit it, but they've started telling drivers to "not come in today" - No accountability for broken equipment, and ineffective mechanics. You either lose revenue pay to get your equipment fixed, or you can just leave it for the next unfortunate driver using it.

Pros

CDL training, getting 1 year experience, learning the business. Decent company, but trucking is high demand, dangerous, I am ready for dispatch 24/7 and at their beck and call and I would like to get paid. Many other companies available to be hired for at 65 cents a mile. I am becoming on owner operator and taking over an old timers truck, just waiting for everything to be ready.

Cons

Pay and miles are minimal for company drivers. Seem to always cap at approximately 2000 to 2800 miles in the best week then the next week maybe 800 to 1500 miles. Seem to get you decent mileage then follow up with many short loads ranging from 150 miles to 400 miles unpaid time between loads. For reefer I am regularly having 1-3am deliveries. Then will have hours left and get dispatched for an 8 am load. I 10% of the time know my next load approximately a day prior as a pre-plan before I finish my load. Usually have no idea once I deliver if I will have a load in 1-2 days or 1 hour. Company truck is now governed at 58mph on the pedal and 62 miles on the cruise control.
