Pros

-Diversity in the work -Freedom with how you approach some projects -Some very talented, great people on staff -The CEO is genuinely a nice, thoughtful guy, though this works against him in some ways -Allows you to pad your resume before starting a real career

Cons

-The pay is low compared to competing businesses -No opportunity to move up or receive benefits--they have no intentions of working with anyone but contractors moving forward -Management will never admit their shortcomings -A few very worthless employees -Work is completed in programs that are nearly a decade old using computers that are just as old -If you want a full 40 hour week as a contractor, be prepared to spend much of your day waiting on others to deliver work to you (or waiting a half hour to download a document from the server) -Rather than firing people, management simply gives employees less and less responsibility and work until they're forced to move on

Pros

Good communication, online submission of hours worked.

Cons

I can't think of any cons, but I'm required to write something here.

Pros

Good enough place to get experience and full resume gaps for someone who is early into their technical writing career.

Cons

Work can be inconsistent so pay can be inconsistent. Pay is not the greatest overall compared to the market rates.
